Threads of Compassion is the heartchild of Sarah Sullivan. Please come back soon to read her story and vision for Threads of Compassion.

Tammy Perlmutter met Sarah twenty years ago in January of 1992. As a young woman who is a sexual abuse survivor, she found a friend and mentor in Sarah, and has a burden to share her story to help other women find hope and healing. Tammy is a writer and photographer with a passion for building community among women through social media. She is honored to come alongside Sarah to offer hope to the hearts of wounded women.

You can read Tammy’s writing at her blog, Raggle-Taggle, and see her photography at Phaino Photography.

Threads of Compassion

Threads of Compassion is a loosely connected group of survivors of sexual violence who desire to offer comfort and support to recent victims. The idea is simple. Anyone whose life has been affected by sexual assault or abuse is welcome to knit or crochet a scarf which in turn will be given to a victim of sexual violence when they enter the hospital for emergency treatment.
